The Gearhead Story
Behind every company is a story. Lots of companies tell an inspirational tale of how they came to exist, as if they were created in pursuit of some noble purpose by some philanthropist who exists only as a force of good in the world.
Well, this isn't one of those stories. Ours is much more simple - a group of car buffs were sitting around shooting the breeze listening to some Thorogood, and one day we thought "You know, I bet if you put shampoo for men in a quart of oil bottle guys would buy it."
So we did. At first we started buying generic wholesale shampoo, pouring it into the bottles with a funnel, slapping a label on it, and bringing it to car shows and local auto-related events. And let me tell you, that was fun for all of 15 minutes - have you ever tried to pour a quart of shampoo into a funnel and then take the funnel away without getting shampoo all over the side of the bottle? Jeeze, man. But the thing was, the product was a hit - everyone loved it and wanted to know where they could buy more and we were like "holy crap man, we're going to have to step up the production". So we dumped the cheap wholesale shampoo and produced our own high-quality formula, got the mixing and bottling equipment we needed, and turned it into a real business. And now whenever we walk down the street, beautiful women tear their clothes off and say "Hey, aren't you the guys from Gear Head Shampoo?" and ask for our autographs. The end.
Seriously though, if you haven't tried Gear Head Shampoo yet you're missing out. It really is a great mens shampoo, and comes in a bottle you can display with pride. You'll be the envy of your friends.
